...I knew that God had placed them there as warring angels...who believed in God and loved him enough
to give their lives to his service.

Service—The Small Stuff Counts!
by Dawn Moreno

I was asked to write about service and the way that I try to reach out to others. In thinking about what to include in this article, I realized my own deficiency in this area. I believe it is easy to get caught up in our day-to-day concerns, problems, and so on, and to forget to reach out to others. I myself am guilty of this. However, I believe it is important to take into consideration even the small things we do in service for others, like posting an inspirational message, sending an encouraging email, and taking time to listen to a hurting friend. For example, I volunteer through a website to assist people with ailing pets by using prayer and energy healing methods. I also felt led this year to donate to a little girl from Haiti who has a 16-pound tumor on her face and needs surgery.

What a great time of year for reflecting on the ways we’ve helped others in the past! It is also a great time for looking forward to new ways that we can be of assistance to our fellow man and live the most important concept Jesus taught—love God with your whole heart and your neighbor as yourself.

May all have a blessed holiday season.
