...I knew that God had placed them there as warring angels...who believed in God and loved him enough
to give their lives to his service.

You Are the Lights on My Christmas Tree
by Judy Driver
written December 10, 1998
Dearest WAVES,

This is a poem I wrote as my Christmas card in 1998. The names in my old address book brought many memories from years past of just how quick our journey through life really is. And I cherish every ONE of those memories.

Eternal Love, Judy, Bird that Sings

As I sit in front of my Christmas tree
Mesmerized by multitudes of tiny lights,
Each little bulb shines back at me,
Swelling my heart to enraptured heights.

Each sparkling bulb brings a person to mind;
Family...Friends...Loved Ones I've met on the way.
So many of you I have left behind
Due to time rushing past, like a white cloud of jet spray.

So each year, as Christmas nears,
When I stare at the shiny lights on my tree,
With love in my heart and eyes filled with tears
YOU are all the gifts that I SEE.

PEOPLE have always been my gifts of life.
My Spirit has known all along.
So reflecting on memories...both blessings and strife,
I sing along to my favorite Christmas songs.

Take a moment to sit in front of YOUR Christmas tree.
Squint your eyes as you would at the Sun,
And, amazingly, what will you see?
All of our our Light rays...they have blended as ONE.

Mixed emotions fill my fragile heart,
Yet I am at peace, and I feel so free.
Because though, physically, we are so far apart,
We're all together...THERE on my Christmas tree.
