Welcome, all, to the Summer 2005 WAVES Newsletter.
This issue represents the start of a new chapter in the history of this publication.
At first glance, you probably won't notice that it looks much different from previous issues. And you're right, for we've kept the same layout and overall look and feel of previous Newsletters. But inside, the content has become more focused.
First of all, in an attempt to make the Newsletter easier to read "cover to cover" in one sitting, we've made the overall length of each article more consistent, and we've limited the number of articles per issue.
Second, all articles will now focus on a central theme, unique to each issue, which you'll see highlighted on the Contents page. This theme will generally tie back to concepts found in Embraced by the Light or another one of Betty's books, or will be a subject covering information of significance to all WAVES. The articles in this issue, for example, revolve around the theme of "No Coincidences" and are based on a quote from The Ripple Effect; the next issue will focus on reports from the July WAVES Gathering in Sacramento.
Why the changes, you ask? As Betty wrote in her email to all WAVES, "My hope is that the changes...will better tailor the Newsletter to fit the needs of our entire WAVES Community. As we focus the Newsletter more closely on what brought us together and binds us still, it is certain that these new guidelines will serve to strengthen the Newsletter's foundation and bless us as WAVES in our development to serve God and our fellow man."
And so we have turned a new page with this issue. It is our prayer that, as you read it, you'll be blessed. Please take a moment to let us know your thoughts on the new issue by sending your comments to wavesnewsletter@embracedbythelight.com. Or, if you are inspired to want to submit an article for a future issue based on the announced theme for that issue, e-mail us and let us know.
In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this newest incarnation of the WAVES Newsletter.
From all of us on the Newsletter Staff, we wish you deep peace.
