Two Poems

Faith ObedienceMy Beloved Family

Faith Obedience

I walk with faith
Into the unknown
The unseen
The foretold

I walk with faith
Forward march
Forward thoughts
Forward actions

No explanations
No visible direction
Yet the invisible leads me
To a greater place

I walk with faith!

My Beloved Family

There is a saying that we have no choice as to our birth parents and birth family
but we can choose our friends.
No one ever mentioned being led into a family
right into the middle of this circle,
being created with such energy around its perimeters.
No one ever said that this family would become a survival tool
and a support that is always there.
No one ever told me that when I walked into this circle,
I would not want to leave.
Let me tell you about this family:
When I first came, I was not questioned or asked to justify my being here
I was not ridiculed or criticized for who I was
nor did they disclose events of my past.
I was not laughed at or attacked
Instead, a pathway was opened
and many arms were extended to me.
I wanted to sit in the corner,
to remain hidden in the shadows
but each moment, a bright beam of light was shone upon me
and many extending arms welcomed me,
to reach out into this miraculous embrace.
Then, I walked in,
arriving into the middle of the circle.
I was welcomed,
invited to unmask myself,
to be who I was,
to be free,
to feel the love
and wonderful energy around me.
Taking that step
at first felt like a risk,
but I was safe
and I was no longer alone.
The circle closed around me
opening only to allow others in:
When they entered,
they were embraced in the same manner.
When they were ready,
they join hands with the others forming the circle and merged.

I, too joined hands with those around the circle
I stood and danced in this energy
it is magic, color, much fluidity
and music swaying, creating melodies to the dance.
When someone needed to step into the middle of the circle,
they did without hesitation
and were welcomed completely.
When they were ready, they joined hands once more.
This circle, this family
are forever bound together in unconditional love
My beloved family!
