Dearest Brother and Sister WAVES,

Greetings to you! Hopefully by now you are happily planning your pilgrimage to the WAVES Gathering in Chicago for the WAVES community during the month of July. Please be sure to click on the hyperlink for our upcoming Chicago Gathering in July. Some of you may be receiving the WAVES newsletter for the first time, and to you we say WELCOME!

Recently, Rita Scott, WAVE, took on the role of entering all the 600 WAVES’ email addresses in our new database. She labored away for days completing this task. Due to her merit, in this issue we are addressing all our family of WAVES.

This month's feature for our WAVES newsletter is focused on mothers, since Mother's Day is right around the corner, so to speak. And it's always good to remember the people who changed our diapers, wiped our runny noses, and bathed us when we were too young to do it for ourselves. I think when I started doing all those things for my son I sent my mother a card thanking her for her loving care when I was so young. I had always taken my mother for granted. It wasn’t until I became a mother that I realized how difficult her job was.

Speaking of our WAVES newsletter, outstanding articles that I insist are a MUST READ include Judy (BTS) Driver’s "From the Perch", as it reminds us of our heritage as WAVES and includes a ‘call to battle’, which I believe we all need to hear from time to time.

Another article that caught my heart was John Garcia's "Easter: A Season of Renewal". John, a familiar contributor in newsletters past, moves us in the direction of renewal both for others and ourselves. You'll see John has a calling to be a Shepherd, and he does it so well. Please also join me in wishing John and his new fiancée congratulations on their engagement. We wish them all the joys and fruits of a good marriage. Our prayers are with you, John!

Another outstanding article is Lotusbud's "A Mother's Day Tribute”. Lotus addresses the pain that some experience every Mother's Day, every holiday -- the pain of being reminded of an excruciating relationship. She talks about how she, with the help of an angel, rose above her ashes and returned to us, a warrior angel for God. Lotus is, as you may know, a regular contributor on the message board who delights us with her prayers and long distance healings.

This month, we have a review of Sarah Hinze's book, "Coming From the Light". Since there are no accidents, it seems apparent to me that this book is a perfect read when wanting to delve in and understand how God teaches us in a family setting. This is a great book to recommend to a mother or father when wanting to honor their relationship. This agreement we have with our family is sacred and precious. Sometimes we need to be reminded of that fact. I remember the sacredness of my pregnancy and the joy I experienced getting to know my son before he was born. We bonded for hours after he was born.

What a precious treasure we all are to each other! It is good to remember this and to honor these relationships. It would be a great thing for each of us to honor the people in our families in a special way and to let them know how important they are to us. Boy, that would be an incredible Ripple. Can you imagine how the world would change? It would be as powerful as a nuclear bomb. No matter how spiritually high-falutin’ we are, there is always someone who needs to hear (spoken), see (action), feel (hug) the words “I love you” in our immediate families. How do I know? It’s just the dynamics in a family setting. Let’s seek out these people and make sure they know our love.

Another thing as Editor that I must speak to you about is our new WAVES Newsletter layout. Joyfully, I can announce that we have a new web developer on the WAVES Newsletter Team. His name is Jim Fly, and he is a gift from God. Jim is a Web Developer with American Girl® and does much of their Internet work. We have so much to be thankful to God for in Jim. Jim has created a “new” newsletter layout. We approached Betty Eadie and Stan (webmaster) and asked if it would be okay to have the WAVES Newsletter mirror the look and feel of Betty’s website. Would you believe it if I told you that Stan said he and Betty were just discussing that same topic the week prior? As Judy BTS says - there are no accidents. And so I present you, WAVES, with our new newsletter layout. I hope you enjoy it. As usual, we are open to suggestions and ideas. If you have a contribution or constructive criticism, please forward it to me at srobbin1@earthlink.net. I look forward to hearing from you.

As a reminder, we look forward to your submissions for the next newsletter, which we plan to launch in the September timeframe. Please have all your articles, drawings, poems, and music or book reviews to us by June 1st. This deadline is flexible, of course, but I do recommend that you send me an email to let me know if you plan to send something. Please send all submissions to srobbin1@earthlink.net. Thank you!

Your sister WAVE,
