to give their lives to his service.

Come to the 2nd Annual WAVEs Convention
in Sacramento, California!
by Rita Scott
Dearest WAVEs,

There is excitement in the air as we make plans for the 2nd Annual WAVEs Convention in Sacramento, California.

When: July 29 - 31, 2005

Where: Sacramento, California (Hotel plans will be finalized very soon)

Why Sacramento? California contains not only the largest EBTL fan base, but also has the greatest numbers of WAVEs in the United States. Sacramento has an international airport and is easily accessible to travelers coming from within California, out of state or internationally.

Who: WAVEs who want to come to meet other WAVEs, spend time with Betty J. Eadie, and have a great time of fun, fellowship and unconditional love.

Betty has much she wants to share with WAVES during special WAVES-only events throughout the Convention weekend. There will be ample question and answer time provided.

The WAVES Convention will kick off on Friday night, July 29th, with an evening event for the general public (and WAVES) where Betty will speak about her experience as detailed in EBTL and more. Saturday and Sunday will be set aside for special WAVES-only programs, where Betty will teach on topics relating to strengthening our inner spirit.

The California state motto is "Eureka!" In Greek the meaning is "I have found it!"

More details will be forthcoming soon about the 2nd Annual WAVEs Convention. Stay tuned and plan to say "Eureka!" along with Betty J. Eadie and the WAVEs as we gather in Sacramento!

Last year, nearly 50 Waves attended our First Convention in Chicago, coming from as far away as Australia. Betty is eagerly looking forward to this year’s Convention, where she hopes to meet even more WAVES from around the world!

So, mark your calendar for July 29-31 and we hope to see you in sunny Sacramento! More information will be forthcoming soon. Until then, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me at reets612@msn.com.

Sincerely, Your WAVES Convention Communications Chairperson and Secretary,
Rita Scott

Interesting facts about Sacramento:

Sacramento’s Weather - what to expect. Sacramento is warm and comfortable in July. The temperature averages in the low 90s, but it is a comfortable, ‘dry heat’ lacking the humidity that can be found in many other parts of the United States during the summer.

Sacramento’s History:
Gold was discovered in 1848 just thirty miles east of Sacramento, in Coloma. This was the event that set off the "Gold Rush of 1849" and the largest human migration in history. You can read more about "Gold Rush" history at the following links:

California became a state in 1850 and Sacramento became the state capitol in 1854. The California State capitol and grounds are a beautiful place to visit. You might even get a glimpse of the famous "Governator" Arnold Schwarzenegger. Visit the capitol online at:

Sightseeing in and around Sacramento:

The scenic American and Sacramento Rivers intersect in downtown Sacramento. The rivers have great recreational areas for picnicking, boating, fishing and tubing. There are still people who try their luck at panning for gold since the American River is where gold was first discovered. Here are some interesting links:

You can visit the 28-acre state historic park called "Old Sacramento" to experience a bit of nostalgia and to learn about early Sacramento history. Here's a link about Old Sacramento:
