...I knew that God had placed them there as warring angels...who believed in God and loved him enough
to give their lives to his service.

The Editor's Notes

Are you an innie or an outie?

(Strange question, right? That was nothing. Just wait...)

Is your life on a detour? Does "this little light of mine" attract moths and bugs?

(Stranger still...)

Are you detached?

(That one wasn't too strange...)

Is it possible that the act of picking up a pencil is the making of a cosmic event?

(Oh, it gets worse...)

Have you experienced the smell of a departed friend or loved one's stinky feet?

(Told you so.)

I'm imagining the terror in your eyes about now as you wonder whether you've accidently wandered into a previously unknown and unpublished chapter of Alice in Wonderland. Where's the spiritual stuff? you ask. Have these guys gone off their nut?

Be assured you've come to the right place and all is well. No, we haven't lost our minds (well, most of us haven't). But yes, we do have some rather interesting articles for you this time around.

Innie or outie? No, we're not talking about navels – that one you'll have to debate on your own time. We're talking about... well, let's not give it away. Debbie Waithe's article addresses this subject as she shares what it means to be a WAVE – check it out to see where you stand.

Are you on a detour in your life? Is your spiritual light attracting bugs and moths? In her article on Life Lessons, Rita Scott examines these issues. And in her preview of the 2005 WAVES Convention in the city that gave birth to the Gold Rush – Sacramento – Rita reveals where you, too, might have the opportunity to pan for a little gold of your own, not to mention the "gold" you will, of course, "pan" from the "stream" of Betty's wonderful teachings, right? (Is it getting a little "deep" here?)

Are you detached? You won't know unless you check out Henrietta Atkins' article. Is it possible that the act of picking up a pencil is the making of a cosmic event? Judy Driver explains what that's all about. And finally, have you experienced the smell of a departed friend or loved one's stinky feet? Bud Lemire's poem tells us it can happen.

But this is only "skimming the surface" of what's in this issue. There are other great articles to be "mined" in this wonderful "nugget" of an issue. (Okay, okay, I'll quit.)

At any rate, enjoy this newsletter, and be sure to give us feedback about how we're doing. E-mail your comments to wavesnewsletter@embracedbythelight.com.

In the meantime... well, you'll be happy to know I'm an outie. And that's a good thing.

Wishing you a blessed and peaceful Easter season,
Jim
