I want to thank all of the WAVES at the Sacramento gathering for your kind and generous acceptance of me. Although there were times when I struggled to keep up with all of you young, and young at heart, angels in waiting, I never failed to be acknowledged by a smile, a warm hug, and a kind word.
I savor the instant bonds of friendship and empathy that I was able to share on a one-to-one basis with so many of you, and regret that because of time and schedules I was unable to spend an extended time with each of you. Many conversations were begun that were not concluded, but I know, God willing, that we will be able to continue them at the next gathering. I want to know what you know, share philosophies, and walk with you in the meadows that Betty describes so eloquently.
I like what you bring out in me and how it makes me feel. It’s great that an organization exists that encourages members to believe in themselves, believe in each other, and believe in love. Thank you, thank you, and may God bless and keep you all until we meet again.
