Getting to Know You:
What It's All About

It seemed to me that at the Chicago Gathering everyone spent a lot of time telling each other about themselves. This was good because it helped us get to know each other much better. In the spirit of Chicago, we now have a new section in the newsletter called, "Getting to Know You". Its purpose is to help you get to know our community better. I invite each of you to step up for a chance to be interviewed for the newsletter. We plan to have either one or two interviews a month. This month I'd like to welcome Jennifer Fritch, WAVE, as our first WAVE interview.
Meeting with Jennifer via the phone was quite an experience. She is a young mother with four small boys (Emerson, Avery, Harrison and Conner) and a husband, Matthew, who is fighting the war over in Iraq. Jennifer first read Betty's Embraced by the Light over 10 years ago, when she was just 14 years old. She embraced the message right away. Jennifer and Matthew have a strong relationship that centers around their belief in God.
After listening to Jennifer for a while, I heard her share some really remarkable things about her relationship with God. It became clear to me that this sharing is a part of her mission in life. Jennifer's husband -- Corporal Matthew J. Fritch, really needs your prayers, as he is the one appointed to chauffeur the Iraqi ambassador -- a very dangerous job. As I spoke to Jennifer she shared some of her special needs as the wife of one fighting in Iraq. Here are some of the needs Jennifer spoke of to me.
Families of soldiers need people to support them, so they don't feel so disconnected. This is the time to step up and support those fighting in Iraq. Those fighting in Iraq don't feel this is about politics but about serving the Iraqi people. Jennifer has the special burden of raising her four sons by herself. Please keep her in your prayers.
I hope you all will read this sharing from Jennifer and choose to support her and her husband in prayer. If you would like to contact Jennifer and let her know you are praying for her, please send your emails to wavesnewsletter@embracedbythelight.com (subject: Jennifer Fritch) and we will happily forward your emails to her. Jennifer has also offered to forward the WAVES Newsletter to those fighting in Iraq so the newsletter can be a vehicle to support them while they are far from their families and homes.
If you enjoy this new section, please let us know. Most importantly, if you would like to be interviewed and contribute an article about yourself, please send an email to wavesnewsletter@embracedbythelight (subject: Getting to Know You).
