Summary Report

-------------------------------

The 3rd Annual WAVES Gathering was held in Sacramento on July 29-31, 2005. On Friday evening, Betty J. Eadie spoke to a packed house. The public was invited. Hearts were touched as she shared personal stories and her understandings about meaning in our lives.

Saturday and Sunday were WAVES-only days. Sessions, led by Betty, centered on many topics, including the power of symbolism, prayer, and inner healing. At a powerful prayer gathering, combined group prayers were offered over many WAVES in attendance and in behalf of others who had requested it.

When the 3-day event came to a close, everyone had been uplifted, had bonded more closely with new friends and old, and felt reluctance of the heart to be parting ways.

The planning committee wishes to thank all who took part and helped in any way to make the Sacramento Gathering a beautiful occasion for all.

Summary comments from Jim Fly: "Whether it was the sharing, the music, the fellowship, the teaching, or the beautiful resort-like atmosphere, we all came away with a sense of having had our hearts stretched by love for one another...We experienced [a] wonderful heavenly light as we gathered together, a light that we carried home with us. In fact, it was several weeks later that I realized that the full import of it all was still working its way deep into my soul. It’s as if the big garden of WAVES came together and blessed each other with the wonderful variety, hue, and God-given beauty of each of our blooms, only to discover after returning home that we had each been deeply watered and fertilized for future growth, in preparation for being used by God in ways we can only imagine."

The 4th annual WAVES Gathering is scheduled for July 2006 and will be held in Boston.

Seeing Betty in Sacramento
by Rick Sanchez
posted on the WAVES board, August 11, 2005

Hello Everyone! It has been a while since I've posted here on Betty's site, but I felt compelled to share the experience of meeting Betty Eadie at the W.A.V.E.S conference this past July 29, 2005 in Sacramento, Ca.

I have been a believer in Christ all my life and have attended various churches and organized events in search of God's truth, yet I have always felt something was missing. The ministering of truth through the use of fear had never set right in my heart. The fundamentalist mindset of these establishments had always gone against what I deeply felt inside, affecting my own faith and leading me to write from within the knowledge of my own soul.

After reading Embraced and The Awakening Heart, I could not help but notice the synchronicities between Betty's visions and experiences and the many concepts, philosophies, and poems I have written from my heart over the years, especially regarding our Native American People. I was deeply touched and moved by her words.

My wife Cathi, who has also read Embraced and The Awakening Heart (in tears!!), discovered that Betty would be speaking in person at The Radisson Hotel Ball Room in Sacramento about her experiences. We both agreed it would be worth the four hundred mile drive from our home in Long Beach, California to witness first hand her testimony of faith.

By nature I am always a bit skeptical at these types of events and felt it necessary to feel or “vibe” out her story. As the night progressed Cathi and I both sensed her honest conviction. She truly gave all of herself in that place for everyone in attendance. As the questions came from the audience, some grief-stricken, her responses were intuitive, instructive, heart felt, and comforting. Her countenance was graceful and honest and as I sat listening I thought to myself, "This is a true woman of God".

As the night closed it was announced that Betty would be signing books for anyone interested. I was just about ready to go, but Cathi, just having purchased The Ripple Effect and The Awakening Heart (as a gift), wanted to have them signed and give Betty a hug, so I thought, "Yes, it would be nice to thank Betty in person," and I agreed to wait a bit longer.

As we approached Betty I could not help but notice a deepness of spirit in her eyes. As I thanked Betty for her sincerity our eyes met and the familiarity was uncanny! It was if I were starring into the eyes of a soul sister I had known for a long time. As we shook hands I could truly feel this woman's love and devotion to what she is doing; it was amazing! In that moment I could see why God had chosen her to share His message.

From my experience on this Earth it is very rare to come into contact with someone so true to their passion, especially one of such a giving nature.

I can honestly say now that my faith in God is stronger than ever.

Betty, we would again like to thank you. I appreciate your sincerity, as does my wife.

Love, Rick
