I have shared the Encampment Vision knowing in my heart that some individuals who read it will feel a dawning awareness that they are somehow connected with it. They may feel a gentle tug urging them to learn more about Encampment. Or they may experience an excited awakening and a driving desire to take an active role.

In the future, I see an organized effort to construct the first Encampment. There will yet be a lot of work for many volunteer hands to do. But for now, there are many things yet to be done in laying the groundwork. Instigating this Native Paths website and sharing the Encampment Vision are just the first small beginnings, though I have felt strong urgings of the Spirit to do so.

If you feel the Spirit urging you to do something, I encourage you to request to join the Encampment email list. As the Encampment project unfolds, you will want to stay informed.

Next, look to your own personal preparation, both spiritual and temporal. I will have much more to say about this later, but each of us should remain prayerful and open to impressions about this work and how best to carry it out in our individual lives.

As the Encampment project unfolds, there will be many opportunities for sacrifice and service. For example, the time will come when donations and contributions will be called for. You may choose to set something aside in preparation for that time.

If you are not of Native heritage, you may wish to begin a study of traditional Native American beliefs and practices. Not that you must adopt these beliefs for yourself, but to glean from them what you feel can add positively to your own views or habits. The traditional Native way of life holds many keys to finding harmony with all creation and with Our Creator.

If you are of Native Blood, I encourage a return to the traditions of our Ancestors. Especially in your daily walk with Wakan Tanka, the Great Spirit. By virtue of your heritage and your special calling from before your birth, you have reserves of great spiritual awarness and power within you. Begin uncovering them and learning to tap into them and you will feel a divine purpose blossoming within you.
