Why Prepare? A True Parable
The scene: a hotel in America... it is very late at
night... hundreds of souls asleep.
The shriek of fire alarms pierces the night.
There are no instructions, no announcements... only
the incessant blaring of the alarm. Imagine being one of the guests,
jarred out of deep sleep.
You and your family stagger from the room and meet
up with a steady stream of groggy hotel guests, as bleary-eyed as you
feel. Some are hardly dressed. Some will soon discover they have
forgotten their wallets. Some will discover they have forgotten their
keys. There is no hotel staff nearby, no information, no
direction.
But in the midst of all this there are a few people
who stand out. They had been awake, having been preparing for
prayer. They act as impromptu guides... they show the way to the
stairs, tell people where to go, speak with confidence and compassion,
help a lost child, give words of encouragement. They have flashlights
ready, a stash of water, even a bit of food should it be
necessary.
Who are they? They are prayer warriors who had been
brought together by the loving message of Embraced by the Light, and
who had been steeped in the message of preparedness the previous day.
Which would you rather be? The innocent, sleepy
guest, awakened from a sound sleep? Or someone who is awake and ready,
prepared, able, and willing to help?

All around the world, sudden, unexpected situations
have arisen in the past, and will continue to arise in the future. But
now, especially as the world changes and God calls us to an Awakening,
we will find the rate of change to be increasing. The night at the
hotel is just a small parable, an example of greater events. Many
people in past situations have been prepared, and have helped their
families and neighbors. We will need more people like that, and you
can be one of them.
Join us
as we explore and act on Betty J. Eadie's OTHER vital message. Yes, we
must love one another, unconditionally, just as God and Jesus love
us. But to be of service to our families and others in coming times,
we must also be prepared!
