In 1983 Steve
Terry left his native state of Utah to spend 4 months in Alaska, and stayed
for the next 13 years. While there he developed a deep appreciation for
the beauty of its wilderness and for the hardiness of its people. A conversation
with a dear Inupiaq friend introduced him to the story of "the Eskimo
Prophet", and began a lifelong adventure of learning more about and sharing
Maniilaq's remarkable legacy. Now back in Utah, he and his wife NataLei,
along with their three children, Marina, Jerika and Cameron, enjoy the
proximity to grandparents and the brevity of winter. |
