Steven B. Terry & Jill K. Anderson

In 1983 Steve Terry left his native state of Utah to spend 4 months in Alaska, and stayed for the next 13 years. While there he developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of its wilderness and for the hardiness of its people. A conversation with a dear Inupiaq friend introduced him to the story of "the Eskimo Prophet", and began a lifelong adventure of learning more about and sharing Maniilaq's remarkable legacy. Now back in Utah, he and his wife NataLei, along with their three children, Marina, Jerika and Cameron, enjoy the proximity to grandparents and the brevity of winter.

In a rural community in central Utah, Jill Anderson lives with her husband Warren and their two daughters, Necia and Maizy – where their home is her haven. Like the Inupiat, family is her core. Her parents and grandparents instilled in her a love of nature, compassion for people and a strong sense of purpose. She works full-time for a local healthcare system, and enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends, writing, helping others and enjoying all the beauty nature has to offer.

SAMPLE CHAPTER

"This book is very timely and will help reach many people. People will start thinking God is really no respecter of persons – he even raised a boy in the Kobuk region of Alaska. I hope our Eskimo people will think seriously of this Prophet, Maniilaq. God has not forgotten about us."
Rachel Craig
