OTHER AUTHORS

CATERPILLAR JONES-main

Following the death of their grandfather in 1992, three brothers from Akron, Ohio decided to write a novel. They wanted to write a story that they hoped would help people better cope with the loss of a loved one. To avoid confusion, Jon Hixson, Jim Hixson, and Joe Susick decided to write under the name of J. J. Brothers and the novel they wrote became The Adventures of Caterpillar Jones.
Jon Hixson

Jon Hixson was born on April 29, 1964. He was the second child of five brothers. In 1992, Jon graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in communications. He, along with his wife Heather, have two beautiful daughters who challenge and inspire them every day. Jon relaxes by spending time with his family bass fishing on a remote lake in Canada.

Jim Hixson

Jim Hixson, the third child of the five brothers, was born on October 24, 1969. Growing up, Jim loved performing neighborhood plays in his family's garage. Eventually, his love for the arts led him to Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in theater. He is also a licensed massage therapist. Jim loves telling stories, and although he is currently single, he looks forward to, one day, reading his books to his children.

Joe Susick

In 1974, their mother Karen remarried and that union produced the baby of the family, Joe Susick. Joe was born on September 12, 1975. As a child, he always enjoyed writing, especially poetry. In 1997, Joe published his first poem. He is currently studying English at Kent State University. In his spare time, he enjoys sculpture and travel. Now, at the age of 23, Joe continues to extend his experiences and looks forward to a life of creativity.
